if you are unable to reset the Defender HDD to factory defaults through Windows XP:
1. Login into KDM to mount the Defender HDD secure partition.
2. Open the Computer Management Console by clicking on the
Windows
Start menu
→
control
Panel
→
Performance and Maintenance
→
administrative tools.
3. Double click on
computer Management
. The Computer Management Console appears.
4. In the left panel, click on
Storage
→
Disk Management
5. In the right panel, locate the Defender HDD’s secure partition. It should be listed as a Removable
Disk.
6. Right-click on the removable disk and select
Properties
from the menu.
7. The Properties window appears. Click on the
Policies
tab and then select
optimize for Performance
as the removal policy.
8. Click on
oK.
You are now able to reset your Defender HDD to the factory defaults.
