Frequency exceeds limits
Possible causes:
Welding horn temperature is too high, which caused the frequency deviation and exceeds
the maximum work band width;
Welding horn is loose or damaged, which caused the failure of the frequency lock.
Solutions:
Cool down the welding horn to normal temperature scope;
Check welding horn, start ultrasonic check to see if the horn impedance is normal.
Excessive Power
Possible causes:
Output power exceeds the permitted scope of the rated power.
Solutions:
Decrease the amplitude value or lower the load (such as air pressure);
Replace the generator with a higher specs of power.
Protection limit is too low
Possible causes:
The peak voltage on both ends of the transducer exceeds the permitted scope;
Welding horn impedance is too big or over-loaded.
Solutions:
Check the horn, start ultrasonic check ( press TEST) to see if the horn is normal;
Decrease the amplitude value or reduce the load (such as lower the air pressure);
For the occasionally happened protection, the “protection sensitivity” value shall be
increased properly;
For the often happened protection, the “Peak voltage” value shall be increased properly.
Excessive welding horn impedance
Possible causes:
Welding horn impedance test value exceeds the permitted scope;
During ultrasonic check, the impedance is too high (if you do the Test when the work-
pieces are pressed).
Solutions:
Check the welding horn and revise it;
Do ultrasonic check in the idle/standby status;
For testing in the load status (such as energy-gathering rod), the “Standby impedance limit”
value shall be increased properly.
Attention: In case the malfunction is still there after trying the above solutions, it must be the
generator itself has problem, please contact us.
