Connecting to Building's Electrical System
The generator can be used as an alternative or emergency power source. The generator may
be connected to the building's electrical system only by a qualified electrician and in accordance
with applicable laws.
WARNING
In the case of connecting the generator to the building's electrical system, the
generator must be isolated from the municipal network. Failure to do so may result in a
reverse over-voltage to the mains, which may cause electric shock to utility workers or other
people who come into contact with the lines during maintenance work due to a power cut.
WARNING
Improper connection of the generator to the building's electrical system may
allow electricity to flow from the municipal network to the generator. When power is
restored, the generator may explode, catch fire, or cause a fire in the building's electrical
system.
Grounding
To prevent electrical shock from faulty appliances, the generator
should be grounded. Connect a length of heavy wire between the
ground terminal and the ground source. The generators have a
system ground that connects generator frame components to the
ground terminals in the AC output receptacles. The system ground
is not connected to the AC neutral wire. If the generator is tested
by a receptacle tester, it will show the same ground circuit
condition as for a home receptacle.
Only a qualified electrician can ground the generator.
AC Outlet
•
Outlet Make sure that the device is in good working order before connecting it to an AC outlet.
Defective devices or power cords can present a risk of electric shock.
•
If you notice that the connected device is malfunctioning, has poor performance, slows down,
or suddenly shuts down, immediately turn off the generator and disconnect the device from
the generator. Check if the reason is a faulty device or if the generator has been overloaded
by the device.
•
A short-term exceeding of the generator's power or a slight overload of the generator is
possible, however, if its efficiency is repeatedly exceeded, its life is shortened. Limit operation
requiring maximum power to 30 minutes. In case of continuous operation, do not exceed the
rated power of the generator.
