The tools provided with the generator are required to perform the maintenance procedures
listed below. Store the tool kit together with the generator.
Spark Knock
Occasionally you may hear light 'spark
knock’ or "pinging" (metallic rapping noise) while
operating under heavy loads. This is no cause for concern.
If spark knock or pinging occurs at a steady engine speed, under normal load, change brands
of gasoline. If spark knock or pinging persists, see an authorized generator dealer.
NOTE! Using the device with a constant knock is considered misuse and can damage the
engine and void the warranty.
Changing Engine Oil
Drain the oil when the engine is warm to ensure quick and complete draining.
