When using the appliance under an extractor hood, make sure to
observe the minimal distance advised by the producer. It is even
wiser to double this distance.
Immediately unplug the appliance if a crack appears and make
sure it is controlled by a qualified competent electrician(*).
Your appliance must never be switched on through an external
timer or any kind of separate remote control system.
Please note: Should the symbol
be indicated on a certain
surface, you need to be careful when handling the product. This
symbol means: CAUTION, this surface may get very hot during
use.
The symbol
is always put on the surface with the highest
temperature, however the other metallic or non-metallic surfaces
can also become very hot during use and it is therefore advisable
to always handle them with care and if possible with the help of
isothermal gloves or other thermal protection. In case of doubt
concerning the temperature of a certain surface it is always
preferable to protect oneself.
(*) Competent qualified service: after-sales department of the
producer or importer or any person who is qualified, approved and
competent to perform this kind of repairs in order to avoid all danger.
In case of need you should return the appliance to this service.
SHORT CORD INSTRUCTIONS
A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk resulting from becoming entangled in,
or tripping over a longer cord. Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.
Please pay attention to the following:
•
The diameter of the extension cord must correspond to the one of the power cord of the
appliance, in other words, it must be suitable for at least 16 ampere. Extension cords for a
lower amperage could overheat.
•
The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over the counter top or table
top, where it can be pulled on by children or tripped over.
BEFORE USE
•
Unpack the appliance and accessories, then wash and wipe these accessories.
•
It is normal if some smoke or smell emanates from the appliance when using it for the first
time. Therefore, we advise you to use your appliance empty once before the first use. If
you want to use the oven, put the function selector switch (C) in position
and turn
the temperature knob (D) to the maximum position (250) for about 10 minutes. This way,
the invisible protective coating of the heating elements will be burned. If you want to use
