Moreover, use of the integrated position sensor and of the Pythago-
rean functions allows angles and distances to be determined that
cannot be established with conventional measuring equipment, or
are extremely complex to establish.
The ability to save as many as 99 measured values simplifies logging
the readings and their further use for arithmetic operations.
The backlit display [D] is easy to read even under unfavorable light-
ing conditions.

is a robust meter and equally suited for daily use
on construction sites and by ambitious do-it-yourself enthusiasts.
Initial use
Before operating the meter for the first time, check the Distance
Meter and accessories for completeness (see “Product contents”,
page 43).
Inserting / replacing batteries
•
To insert the batteries, flip the angle stop [G] open 180º.
•
Open the battery compartment [F] by pushing up the latch of the
battery cover and pivoting it upward.

Insert the supplied batteries or two identical AAA batteries.

To avoid damage, observe the correct polarity of the battery.

Close the battery cover by inserting the two top tabs at a flat an-
gle into the housing. Then, pivot the cover downward until the
latch engages and the cover is snug.

Flip the angle stop [G] back against the meter.

Always replace the two batteries at the same time.

If you use rechargeable batteries, ensure that both are charged
equally.

Remove the (rechargeable) batteries if the meter is not being used
for an extended period to prevent damage from leaking batteries.
The battery status [9] symbol indicates the charge of the batteries.
Replace the batteries when the symbol is flashing continuously.

Attach the carrying strap to the housing by pulling the cord through
