• Gas samples
Gases containing entrained solids should be filtered before application to the
instrument. Please consult Kahn Instruments prior to the measurement of any
sample suspected to be corrosive.
Care should be taken with gas mixtures containing potentially condensable
components in addition to water vapor, e.g. oil, to insure that only water vapor
is present in the sample. Once present on the surface of the sensors, oil will
remain, and reduce the sensitivity of the sensor.
POSSIBLE INJURY! The tubing, valves and other
apparatus attached to this instrument must be adequate
for the maximum pressure which will be applied,
otherwise physical injury to the operator or bystander is
possible.
Before disconnecting the HygroPort I.S. from the gas line
it is essential to vent the system to atmospheric pressure,
otherwise severe injury could result.
