Switch Control
Electrical
Rating:
Momentary and maintained contact models: 28VDC, 2A inductive, 6A resistive (5 A at 125VAC / 60Hz);
Model 2450 (timed contact): UL rated 10.5 A at 125-250 VAC; 10.5 A at 28VDC
Tamper switch:
SPDT 0.25A resistive, 0.10 A inductive at 30 VDC, can be wired as
(2500 Series)
normally open or normally closed (2500 Series only).
LED indicator:
One green and one red, 35mA max (standby operation), 3V max, 105mW max power dissipation
(2500 Series)
(2500 Series only)
Under plate:
Tamper switch and LEDs are pre-wired on a metal under-plate that mounts directly to the wall or
(2500 Series)
outlet box and is completely protected by the stainless steel front plate.
Contact options:
Momentary contact switch: For operating equipment with built-in timers or latching relays such as
garage door openers, gates and elevators, and alarm systems. For electro-magnetic lock and electric
strike installation, control must be positioned so that thumbturn can be rotated and held while door
is opened.
Variable time delay: For electric strikes and equipment that needs to remain energized for a set
interval. Allows the user to reach the door from the switch control, which can be placed at any
convenient location. The pneumatic timer draws no current and is unaffected by changes in voltage.
Maintained contact switch: Permits the circuit to be switched from “locked on” to “locked off.”
Applicable to alarm systems with no latching relay, or other circuits that must remain on or off.
