2.1 Steps How To Connect the Devices
Devices used in the test system example (
) are connected using the following steps. All
devices have to be switched off.
1. Inside the isolated EMC/ESD Test Environment:
Connect the device under test (DUT) to the MOST150 E-O Converter #2 with two coaxial cables
(front panel). Use the converter cables Fakra to SMA to connect the coaxial cable to the MOST150
E-O Converter. The MOST150 E-O Converter #2 is running on battery power.
2. Pass between isolated EMC/ESD Test Environment and test area outside:
Connect the duplex optical fiber cable to each of the MOST150 E-O Converters (Interconnect on
the rear panel), ensuring that the LC connectors are inserted correctly.
3. Outside the isolated EMC/ESD Test Environment:
Connect the customer MOST network devices to the MOST150 E-O Converter #1 using two coaxial
cables (front panel). Use the converter cables Fakra to SMA to connect the coaxial cable to the
MOST150 E-O Converter. The MOST150 E-O Converter #1 is running with power supply.
4. Turn on all of the devices. The MOST network and Interconnect LEDs on the MOST150 E-O
Converters will turn off once the network is locked.
5. The system is now ready for testing.
