4.3.4 OHC Use
System Setup
Kilobots should be operated on a smooth, flat surface to ensure proper robot mobility. To
aid communication, the surface should be glossy or reflective. A mirror or dry-erase whiteboard
oriented horizontally is recommended.
The overhead controller should be hung above the Kilobots at a distance of about one
meter. The robots beneath the OHC in a about a one meter diameter region will be able to receive
communication from the OHC as shown in figure 4.8.
