Button Functions
The following table summaries the functions of the camera’s button.
Button Function
POWER Power button Switch the camera power on/off.
Mode dial Set the camera mode.
Shutter button In record mode: Capture the composed picture.
In movie mode: Start/Stop the movie recording.
Wide-angle button In shooting mode: Zoom out on the subject (wide-
(record & movie) angle shot).
In playback mode: Zoom out on the ‘zoomed’ image.
Telephoto button In shooting mode: Zoom in on the subject
(record & movie) (telephoto shot).
In playback mode: Zoom in on the selected image
(image enlarged).
MENU Menu button Display on/off the OSD menu.
DISP Display button Switch the LCD monitor display.
Thumbnail button In playback mode: Display recorded image on
thumbnail screen.
Pause/Resume movie playback.
Macro button In record mode: Switch the macro mode (close
up shot) on/off.
Arrow button (up) In menu mode: Scroll up on the OSD menu.
Flash button In record mode: Toggle the flash mode.
Arrow button (left) In playback mode: Move back to the previous image.
In menu mode: Scroll left on the OSD menu.
Self-timer button In record mode: Switch the self-timer mode
on/off.
Arrow button (right) In playback mode: Move forward to the next image.
In menu mode: Scroll right on the OSD menu.
Delete button In record mode: Quick delete of the last
recorded image/video clip.
Arrow button (down) In menu mode: Scroll down on the OSD menu.
OK OK button In playback mode: Return to normal display on the
thumbnail display.
Start/Stop movie playback.
Stop the slideshow display.
In menu mode: Enter the field menu/Confirm
the setting.
