2 Preparation

Example:

Proceed as follows to activate the grinder selection.

Precondition:

The start screen is displayed.

Touch

‘ P ’

‘Maintenance status’

Turn the Rotary Switch until

‘Machine settings’

is displayed.

Press the Rotary Switch.

Press the Rotary Switch.

‘Switch off after’

Turn the Rotary Switch until

‘Beans à la carte’

is displayed.

Press the Rotary Switch.

‘Beans à la carte’

Now move your finger across the controller and set it to

‘1’

Touch

‘Save’

‘Saved’

appears briefly on the display.

‘Beans à la carte’

‘Back’

the number of times needed to display the start

screen again.

Example:

Proceed as follows to prepare an espresso with coffee

beans from the

grinder on the left.

Precondition:

The start screen is displayed. ‘Beans à la carte’ mode

is activated.

Place a cup under the dual spout.

Touch

‘ + ’

on the left-hand side several times until the value

is set to ‘100%’.

The grinder selection remains active until the setting is
changed by you, even if the GIGA is switched off in the mean-
time.

Touch

‘Espresso’

Preparation starts. The preset amount of water for espresso
flows into the cup.
Preparation stops automatically. Your GIGA is once more
ready for use.
