Registration Server Setup.
One device must be designated as the Registration Server.

To designate this device as the registration server, enter a registration server password in the appropriate fields.
The registration server password authenticates the devices in a community, and should be different from the
administrator password.

If this device is not the registration server, enter the IP address and password of the current (or future) registration
server in the appropriate fields. This device will not process data until the registration server is configured.
•
If you select the option to delay the formation of reduction tunnels, this device will not reduce or assemble data from
other devices until you enable reduction tunnel formation in the Endpoints page of the Web console.

Set the Time.

If your network uses an NTP server for device time settings, enter the IP address of the NTP server. Otherwise, enter
the current time, date, and local time zone for the device. If applicable, select the
Daylight Savings
checkbox.

Specify Feature and Topology Settings.
The feature and topology settings ensure that device resources are used efficiently to reduce and assemble data.

Select Active Flow Pipelining (AFP) or AFP and Application Flow Acceleration if you want to use these features.

Choose the topology setting that best describes the device’s relationship to the other WX devices in the community (Hub,
Spoke, or Mesh). For a Hub or Mesh device, select the range of devices in the community.
