Maintaining the SSR1200 Hardware Components
To maintain optimum performance of the appliance, you must regularly perform the following preventive
maintenance procedures:
• Inspect the installation site for moisture, loose wires or cables, and excessive dust.
• Ensure that airflow is unobstructed around the appliance and into the air intake vents.
The power supplies and transceivers are the only FRUs that can be replaced on the SSR1200. For any
other issues, contact Juniper customer support. See
"Contacting Customer Support and Returning the
Chassis or Components" on page 50
SSR1200 Power Supply Maintenance
SUMMARY
Maintaining an SSR1200 appliance includes replacing
power supplies. Replacing includes removing a failed
power supply and installing a functional power
supply.

The two AC power supplies (part number: SSR1200-AC-PS) are hot-removable and hot-insertable field-
replaceable units (FRUs) installed in the rear panel of the SSR1200 appliance. You can remove and
replace them without powering off the SSR1200 or disrupting SSR1200 functions.
