JUNOSe Broadband Access Configuration Guide, Chapter 19, Configuring DHCP
Local Server
fails to state the following additional information for the DHCP
local server:
Before you configure a DHCP local server, you must identify which mode to use
(standalone DHCP mode or equal-access). If the virtual router does not have the
SRC (Session and Resource Control) software, which contributes to the address
pool selection, you can use standalone mode using the
service dhcp-local
standalone
command. When the DHCP server operates in standalone mode,
SRC software is not used for address allocation.
If you do not specify a mode, equal-access mode is used, by default. When
equal-access mode is used, COPS-PR (Common Open Policy Service usage for
policy provisioning) is automatically started on the virtual router.
The
ip dhcp-local excluded-address
command can be specified multiple
times. The excluded address must fall within a network that has been specified
in the DHCP local pool.
The command in the section
Removing Access Routes from Routing Tables and
NVS
in
JUNOSe Broadband Access Configuration Guide, Chapter 20, Configuring
DHCP Relay,
is incorrect.
The correct command is
set dhcp relay discard-access-routes
and not
set
dhcp relay discard-access-routers
.
JUNOSe Broadband Access Configuration Guide, Chapter 25, Configuring
Subscriber Interfaces
fails to state the differences between dynamic subscriber
interfaces (DSIs) and dynamic interfaces (DIs) for remote access to the E Series
router. See
Appendix D, Subscriber Interfaces Overview
, in the
JUNOSe 10.0.2
Release Notes
for updated information.
JUNOSe Broadband Access Configuration Guide, Chapter 27, Configuring Service
Manager
fails to state that, before you reference a policy in the service
definition macro to enable Service Manager to collect statistics, you must
enable statistics collection for that policy using the
statistics enabled
keyword
in the command used for policy attachment in the profile.
JUNOSe Broadband Access Configuration Guide, Chapter 27, Configuring Service
Manager
, incorrectly states that the groupIndex variable, which identifies the
mutex group for a service, can be a number in the range -1 to -2147483648 or
1 to 2147483648. The correct range for the groupIndex variable is -1 to
-2147483647 or 1 to 2147483646.
JUNOSe Broadband Access Configuration Guide, Chapter 27, Configuring Service
Manager
, incorrectly states that the upper limit for the value that can be
specified for Service-Timeout and Service-Volume VSAs as 16777251. The
correct upper limit for these VSAs is 16777215. Values greater than 16777215
are recycled, starting from the initial value of 0. For example, if you specify the
value for Service-Timeout and Service-Volume VSAs as 16777216 and
16777217, these values are equivalent to 0 and 1 respectively for these VSAs.
