The success of the crop begins by planting well done. The good result of sowing, in turn, depends
not only seed but also the way it was executed and climatic factors occurring after the operation, as well as
treatment against pests and diseases.

4.15.12 - Planning the seeding
In any activity, planning is one of the most important steps to reducing error and risk, ie, to increase the chan-

during the seeding is to make the necessary adjustments. Aiming to help the farmers to get better deployment quality
of their crops are some tips:
1) It is important that producers make a general check of the sower, especially in cutting elements, deposition
of fertilizer and seed, gears and transmission chains, double discs of fertilizer and seed drill stops / compactors, drivers
of fertilizer and seeds, and especially of the components of the distribution of seeds and fertilizers, preventing it to be
remembered only in the days of sowing.

seeding.
5) The final adjustment of the implement should always be held in planting conditions and not in the sheds or
on roads.

7) The farmer must take into account that for each hybrid or cultivar planted, there is a range of planting den-
sity recommended. Thus, if the producer is planting more than one cultivar, the adjustment of the seeding should be
repeated for each type of seed used.
8) Make sure the gear ratio of exchange regulator distribution of fertilizer and seed are in accordance with the

12) Another important aspect of the quality of sowing is speed. Work at the recommended speed according to
the culture, otherwise compromise its density and crop yield.

by adjusting its position (height) and spring pressure of the pantograph system and controlling bands of deep sowing

sets.
15) Always use dry fertilizers, free from impurities.

the seed and divergent distribution of the desired box.
17) Check carefully on all distribution boxes of seeds, the positioning of the lever, which must be the same for
all of them. Try to observe if there are small imperfections in the metering assembly, which may cause damage to seeds
