BASIC JUMPING TECHNIQUES
Learn basic jumps and positions before attempting more advanced excercises.
BASIC/STRAIGHT JUMP
• Stand up with your feet slightly apart
(shoulder width) and your eyes focused on
the mat.
• Swing your arms forwards and upwards in a
circular movement.
• Jump up and bring your feet together. Your
toes should point downwards.
• Land on the mat with your feet slightly apart.
STOPPING A JUMP
• If you lose control on the trampoline, stop by
bending your knees when you land on the
mat.
• Do a low basic jump.
• Stop by bending your knees when you land on
the mat.
JUMPING ON HANDS AND KNEES
• Do a low basic jump.
• Land on your hands and knees with a straight
back.
• Concentrate on landing correctly on all four,
not on jumping high.
