TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Probable cause
Action
The pump runs but
gives no water.
Air cannot escape as the
pressure pipe is closed.
Open the pressure pipe (e.g. by straightening out
any kinks or sharp bends).
Air pockets in the suction
base.
Wait at most 60 seconds while the pump is
automatically vented through the venting valve.
Turn off and on, if necessary.
Pump impeller blocked.
Clean the pump impeller.
When the pump starts, the
water level drops below
the minimum level.
Place the pump deeper below the surface.
The pump will not
start or suddenly
stops when
running.
The overheat protection
trips and turns off the
pump.
Pull out the power cord and clean the pump
impeller. Do not exceed the maximum permitted
water temperature, 35°C.
No power supply.
Check the fuses and connections.
Particles, such as gravel,
have clogged the suction
base.
Unplug the power cord and clean the suction base.
The pump runs but
the water flow
suddenly
decreases.
The suction base is
clogged.
Clean the suction base
