USE
Read the User Instructions carefully before use.
This hand-held digital breathalyser measures the alcohol content in exhaled air, which gives an indication
of the alcohol content in the blood.
How to use
1.
Insert 2 1.5 V alkaline AAA batteries in the
battery compartment.
2.
Rinse your mouth with water before using.
Avoid smoking or drinking alcohol for at
least 10 minutes before using. For a more
reliable result you should always take 2
measurements one after the other.
3.
Insert a straw or nozzle in the gas inlet over
the LCD display.
4.
Press the START button for 0.5 seconds to
start the appliance. The sensor warms up for
about 18 seconds. PH flashes once and
then shows WAIT while the time is counted
down.
5. An audio signal is given when the
countdown reaches 0 and READY is shown.
The appliance is ready to be used. BLOW
flashes to show that you can now blow.
6.
Press and hold the START button. BLOW is
shown continuously and a long audio signal
is heard. Blow smoothly through the straw or
nozzle for about 6 seconds.
Stop blowing when you hear several short audio
signals. The reading is shown in the display.
0.0 is shown if the measured alcohol content
in the blood is less than 0.1 ‰.
The reading will be shown if the alcohol
content in the blood is between 0.1 and
1.5‰.
If the measured alcohol content in the blood
is higher than 1.5 ‰, HI flashes and the
symbol for DO NOT DRIVE is shown in the
display.
7.
Press the START button for 0.5 seconds to
measure again. The appliance is ready for
the next measurement when the countdown
reaches 0, whereby READY is shown in the
display and you hear the audio signals.
8. Press the START button for about 2
seconds to switch off the appliance. The
appliance switches off automatically if no
buttons are pressed for 2 minutes.
