SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
READ THE OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USE
The instructions contain important information regarding safety, installation, adjustment, care and
spare parts.
Always follow the applicable rules regarding workplace safety and accident prevention.
The Operating Instructions must be stored securely in the vicinity of the tool. Read these
instructions carefully before use. Individuals must not use the tool unless they are familiar with
these instructions. Do not allow children to use the tool.
In addition to these instructions, you must always comply with applicable regulations and laws
concerning health, safety and the environment, as well as good practice for work with wood
processing machines.
Wear ear protection.
Wear eye protection and a face mask.
Wear a dust filter mask.
This symbol is used in the Operating instructions to indicate that there is a risk of
damage in the event of failure to comply with the safety instructions.
Individuals must not use the tool unless they are familiar with these instructions.
Do not use the tool if it is damaged or defective in any way. The tool may only be used in the
intended manner and in accordance with these instructions. Never allow children, or anyone who is
unfamiliar with the power tool and these instructions, to use the tool. Rectify any faults and safety
deficiencies immediately, before the tool is used again.
Always follow the safety and warning labels on the tool.
The safety and warning labels on the tool must be intact and legible. Replace these immediately if
necessary.
IMPORTANT:
Risk of hand and finger injuries when working with a rotating saw blade.
Ensure that the tool is stable on a firm surface.
Check the power cord for damage. Do not use damaged power cords.
Keep children a safe distance from the tool when it is connected to the mains.
The tool must not be used by people below the age of 18. People above the age of 16 may use the
tool under supervision as part of their training.
Never interrupt somebody who is working with the tool.
Always install the saw bench's extension if somebody else is going to help with the sawing. Your
helper must stand by the bench extension's outfeed end.
Keep the saw bench clean of sawdust and pieces of wood.
Loose hair, jewellery, loose-fitting clothes, etc., can become caught in tools with moving parts. This
can cause serious injuries.
Check the motor's direction of rotation (see the section on electrical connection).
Never remove or bypass the tool's safety devices.
Turn off the tool, unplug the power cord and wait until all moving parts have stopped completely
before adjusting, replacing parts, cleaning or performing maintenance work on the tool.
