OPERATION
IMPORTANT:
Always disconnect the power cord from the mains power before fitting/removing accessories.
Fit the handle depending on whether you are left-handed or right-handed.
Starting and stopping
The power switch is built into the handle of the tool. Hold the tool with both hands and gently press the
power switch to start. Release the power switch to switch off the tool.
Drill setting for wood and metal

The mode selector on top of the tool (2) has two modes. Note that the left-hand symbol indicates
hammer drilling operation and drilling (fig. 1). The second symbol only indicates chiselling.

For drilling in metal and wood, select the symbol for the hammer and drilling function (fig. 1).

There is another selector (4) at the rear of the tool, close to the power switch.

Turn this selector to the symbol for normal drilling when you want to drill (fig. 4).
Hammer drilling
Turn the rear selector to the symbol for hammer drilling.
Chiselling
1. Turn the selector on top of the tool so that the arrow points to the symbol with a large hammer (fig.
2).
2. Turn the selector at the rear of the tool, close to the power switch, to the symbol with the hammer
and drill (fig. 3).
Fitting the chisel bit in the quick chuck
The slots in the chisel bit’s shank should be aligned with the ridges in the chuck.

Pull back the black chuck sleeve and insert the chisel shank (fig. 5). Push in until it stops. You may
need to turn the chisel shank in order to align properly.
2. Release the chuck sleeve when the bit shank is properly aligned. This locks the chisel in place (fig.
6).
Note:
Pull the chisel - it must be securely held and not possible to pull out. If the chisel is not firmly secured,
repeat the steps above.
Depth stop
1. Attach the depth stop in the support handle.
2. Fit the drill bit and set the tip against the work surface.
3. Adjust the depth stop to the required depth (the distance between the workpiece and depth stop
tip).
