Using the machine

Handwheel

The handwheel turns forward, i. e. in the same direction as on a house-
hold sewing machine.

Raising the upper knife

 • Switch the machine off (Power switch to “0”).

•  Disconnect machine from electricity supply.
•  Turn the handwheel towards you until needles are fully raised.
•  Open the looper cover.
Press the upper knife holder (E) to the right. Turn the knob clockwise (F) 
until the knife engages

 

into position as illustrated (G).
