Operation

 Watt training programme

On the home screen, scroll to the ‘W’ icon and press the ‘Mode’ button to select this programme type.

Use the ‘Up’ and ‘Down’ buttons to select your target power output in watts. Press the ‘Mode’ button to select

it.

Now you can select the time you wish to train for. Adjust the time using the ‘Up’ and ‘Down’ buttons and

once you have the desired time set, press the ‘Start/Stop’ button to begin your workout.

N.B. unlike other programmes you will be unable to adjust the resistance manually while using the watt

training programme. The resistance can only be adjusted automatically by the computer to get you training at

your target power output.

Operation

 User training programme

On the home screen, scroll to the ‘U’ icon and press the ‘Mode’ button to select this programme type.

Each bar represents a section of the programme and can have a resistance level anywhere between 1 and

16. Use the ‘Up’ and ‘Down’ buttons to set the desi

red level of resistance. Once the resistance is set at the

required level, press the ‘Mode’ button to proceed to the next bar.

Now you can select the length of time you wish the programme to last. Hold the ‘Mode’ button down for 2

seconds. Adjust the time

using the ‘Up’ and ‘Down’ buttons and once you have the desired time set, press the

‘Start/Stop’ button to begin your workout.

Operation

 Recovery mode

When you have finished your training you can use the recovery mode to track how quickly your heart rate

reduces. This is widely considered to be a great measure of fitness and its good value to track over time to

measure an improvement in your fitness level.

The recovery mode may be better when used with the wireless chest strap which is supplied with your model.

First make sure your heart rate is being tracked and you can see your heart rate on the display. N.B. If you

can see the letter ‘P’ this indicates that no pulse is being received.

Now press the ‘Recovery’ button. Your heart rate will continue to

display for the next 60 seconds. The

computer will track how much your heart rate reduces during 60 seconds and give you a value between 1 and

6 as a measurement of your fitness. A value of F1 is considered outstanding and a value of F6 is considered

poor.

When you have completed the recovery mode exercise, press the ‘Recovery’ mode to return to the home

screen.
