of the ship in distress is known, press ENT
and input it here.

After inputting the position of the ship in
distress press ENT. Input the time at
UTC of pos in the same way and press
ENT.
Scroll the screen, the cursor moves to Mode.
If required, the Mode can be set to the FEC.

To change the distress/safety frequency
for sending the DSC drobose call, select
Calling FRQ and press ENT, then select
the distress/safety frequency using the
jog dial.
After selecting a frequency and pressing
ENT, the cursor moves to Address.

Select Call and press ENT to tune the
antenna and make a DSC drobose call.
After the transmission, the radiotelephone
mode and the distress/safety frequency of
the band on which the call is transmitted is
set in the status display.
