Disassemble spray gun
and clean with thinner.

Motor hums but
does not spray or
irregular spraying.

1. Worn swirl head
2. Pick up pipe not in the right
position
3. Blocked pick up pipe
4. Blocked nozzle
5. Blocked filter
6. Control knob needs
adjustment

1. Replace swirl head.
2. Re-adjust pick up
pipe.
3. Clean with thinner.
4. Clean nozzle.
5. Clean with thinner.
6. Adjust.

Atomization is not
good.

1. Volume adjustment is not
correct.
2. Paint too thick

1. Adjust.
2. Check viscosity of the
paint.

Over painting.

1. Spray gun not clean, or not
lubricated resulting in piston
being stuck in cylinder.
2. Too much paint.
3. Viscosity too low.

1. Disassemble spray
gun and clean with
thinner.
2. Adjust the volume
clockwise to reduce
spraying. Two thin
coats are better then one

Operating sound

container resulting in air being
sucked in.
3. Not diluting properly or not
passing pick up pipe
completely.

1. Re-adjust
2. Refill with paint.

1. Use correct solvent.
