INSTALLING BLADE
WARNING:
Always remove the
battery before installing blades or
removing blades.
1. Insert the 4 mm hex key (1) into the
blade holder set screw (2) and turn it
counter-clockwise to loosen the blade
clamp (3) (Fig. 3).
2. Fully insert the appropriate blade (4)
into the slot (5) in the centre of the
blade clamp.
NOTE:
Make sure the blade is fully
inserted into the blade clamp and the
blade teeth are pointing downward.
3. While holding the blade fully into the
blade holder, tighten the blade clamp
set screw clockwise with the 4 mm hex
key.
NOTE:
Tighten the blade clamp set
screw firmly to lock the blade in the
blade holder
4. Pull outward on blade to ensure it is
properly locked into the blade clamp.
REMOVING BLADE
To remove the blade, simply loosen the
blade clamp set screw and pull the blade
out of the blade clamp.
LOCK-OFF BUTTON
The lock-off button (1) is a safety device
designed to reduce the possibility of a user
accidentally starting the saw (Fig. 4). This
button must be depressed before the
trigger switch (2) can be depressed.
NOTE:
The lock-off button can be
depressed from either the left or right side
of the handle.
VARIABLE-SPEED TRIGGER SWITCH
The variable-speed trigger switch allows
you to control the speed of the saw.
1. To turn the saw ON, depress the lock-
off button with your thumb.
2. While holding the lock-off button in the
depressed position, squeeze the
trigger switch to start the saw.
3. Once the saw starts, release the lock-
off button. The saw will remain running
until the trigger switch is released.
4. Adjust the running speed of the saw by
squeezing the trigger. The more you
squeeze the trigger the faster the saw
will run.
5. To turn the saw OFF, release the
trigger switch.
NOTE:
To re-start the saw, the lock-off
button must be depressed before the
trigger switch is squeezed.
