3. Enter the frequency using the number keys, e.g. “8”, “7”, “5” für 87.5 MHz
(VHF).
4. Press EENTER again.
5.8. Storing stations
You can store 10 stations per waveband.
1. Use B
BAND to select the desired waveband.
2. Tune in the desired station.
3. Press C
CLOCK MEMORY.
MEMO
flashes in the display. If you do not enter
anything within 4 seconds, the function is cancelled.
4. Press the number key for the number you want to store the station under.
5. Press C
CLOCK MEMORY again. The station is stored.
6. Stored stations are selected by pressing the number keys.
5.9. Aligning antenna / Improving reception
FM (VHF): Fully extend telescopic antenna and try various alignments.
AM (MEDIUM WAVE): Turn the radio to align the built in ferrite rod antenna.
SW (SHORT WAVE)1/2: Fully extend antenna, but do not tilt it.
NOTES
:
If short wave reception quality is poor, use the throw-our antenna supplied. Insert
the plug of the throw-out antenna in the EEXT ANT socket and find the best alignment
for the fully unwound antenna wire.
To receive very strong local stations, slide the D
DX LOCAL switch to LLOCAL.
Reception can be affected by metal and concrete walls. If necessary, try putting the
radio in a different position.
5.10. Connecting the earphone
1. Turn the V
VOLUME control to its lowest setting.
2. Insert the earphone jack in the EEAR socket on the radio.
3. Adjust the volume to the desired level.
