3-6 Advanced Chipset Features
The Advanced Chipset Features Setup option is used to change the values of the chipset
registers. These registers control most of the system options in the computer.

Selecting Enabled allows caching of the system BIOS ROM at F0000h-FFFFFh, resulting in
better system performance. However, if any program writes to this memory area, a system
error may result. The settings are: Enabled and Disabled.

PCI Express provides a mechanism for software controlled limiting of the maximum power
per slot that PCI Express adapter (associated with that slot) can consume.
GFX Port1/GFX Port2
Press Enter and you can modify these four items: Gen2 High Speed Mode, Link ASPM, Link
Width and Slot Power Limit, W .
Gen2 High Speed Mode:
1. AUTO (Gen2 advertised capabilities on boot-up time + Autonomous Gen2 (RC feature
only) + Workarounds for 1.1 violators) –production default setting;
2. GEN2 ADVERTISED RC (Gen2 advertised capabilities on boot-up time + Workarounds
for 1.1 violators)
3. SOFTWARE INITATED (Workarounds for 1.1 violators; Going to Gen2 after link
trains to L0)
4. AUTONOMOUS (Autonomous Gen2: Gen2 advertised capabilities on boot-up time;
Autonomous register bit set before link is trained; Hardware performs Gen2 speed change)
