STEP 2
Before fitting the rest of the components, it is advisable to verify that the unit functions acceptable.
Connect all electronic components as indicated in the wiring diagram.
The battery for the unit must be placed on top of the bracket holding the control module.
NOTE: For initial tests the IR sensor will have to be placed some ware accessible to establish a line of sight
between the sensor and the remote control handset.
Air can be purged from the gas supply line, by temporarily removing the sealing screw of the test point fitted before
the gas valve.
Thereafter follow the following steps:
•
Connect a pressure gauge (manometer) to the inlet test point
•
Switch on the burner (on initial ignition the process might have to be repeated before all air is purged from
the burner itself)
•
Check for gas leaks on all the joints of the burner itself.
•
Set the burner to its maximum flame setting.
•
Verify that the inlet gas pressure is
2.8 kPa
while the unit operates on maximum flame setting.
•
If necessary make adjustments to the gas supply until the
2.8 kPa
is maintained at maximum flame setting.
•
Switch off burner.
NOTE: At this stage of the installation the flame pattern will be different from the final flame. Flames that lift
drastically from the burner tube are normal at this stage.
THE BURNER TUBE AND OTHER COMPONENTS MIGHT
BECOME VERY HOT DURING THIS PHASE. DO NOT TOUCH
