1. Danger of explosion if the battery is replaced incorrectly. Replace only with the same 

    or equivalent type.

2. Do not mix old and new batteries.

3. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc) or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.

4. If the unit is not to be used for an extended period of time, remove the batteries. Old 

    or leaking batteries can cause damage to the unit and may void the warranty.

5. Do not try to recharge batteries not intended to be recharged; they can overheat and 

    rupture. (Follow battery manufacturer’s directions).

6. Do not dispose of batteries in fire, batteries may leak or explode.

7. Only an adult should replace the batteries.

Replace the batteries when below status shows: 

- Batteries are dead.

- Low battery power or when the recorder performance is affected. 

CAUTION

• Do not use earbuds while operating a motorized vehicle, as it may create a traffic 

   hazard and is illegal in many areas.

You can record using either the built-in microphone or an external microphone (not included). 

- The MIC IN jack located on the top will accept an external condenser microphone (not 

   included) with a 3.5 mm plug.

- If an external microphone is connected to the MIC IN jack, the built-in microphone will be 

  disabled.

The headphone jack is located on the top panel. Plug a set of earbuds (not included) 

into this jack for private listening without disturbing others. The speaker is automatically 

disconnected when earbuds are connected to the jack.

Read this Important Information before Using Your Headphones

1.) Avoid extended play at very high volume as it may impair your hearing.

2.) If you experience ringing in your ears, reduce the volume or shut off the unit.

3.) Keep the volume at a reasonable level even if your headset is an open-air type 

    designed to allow you to hear outside sounds. Please note that excessively high 

    volume may still block outside sounds.
