offers the best coverage in the industry. (1) For powertrain prowess, here are your down-and-dirty 4WD options. Quadra-Drive ® II: Provides front
and rear Electronic Limited-Slip Differentials (ELSD) that can help transfer 100 percent torque to any one wheel with
traction. Quadra-Drive II delivers Trail Rated ® capability and helps Jeep Commander climb rocky hills and plow
through deep snowdrifts for ultimate traction. Quadra-Trac II ® : The innovative all-speed traction control built into this
Trail Rated system helps keep you safely on course. If wheel slippage is detected, up to 100 percent of the available torque can be routed to
the axle with the most traction. Shift into low range for rock-crawling prowess. Quadra-Trac I ® : Standard on Sport 4WD, this full-time system
operates smoothly, with no driver interaction required. Under normal driving conditions, torque is distributed 48 percent to the
front wheels and 52 percent to the rear wheels. If wheel slippage occurs, the integrated traction control system helps transfer
torque to the axle with traction for secure 4WD capability. JEEP TRAIL RATED vehicles are designed to perform in a variety
of off-road conditions identified by five performance categories: ARTICULATION — The ability to keep tires in contact with
the ground, providing traction to climb over large obstacles. TRACTION — The ability to transfer power to the road or trail
along with the ability of the suspension to keep the wheels in contact with the terrain. MANEUVERABILITY — The ability to navigate around
obstacles that are tightly situated. GROUND CLEARANCE — The ability to drive over large obstacles or logs in combination with approach/
departure/breakover angles. WATER FORDING — The ability to cross a specific depth of water at a specific speed. (2)
