STEP 6:
Hoist the board and height adjuster up to the mast and secure with the supplied M10 u-bolts and nuts. Follow
the following procedure to properly torque the u-bolts to
64 ft-lbs
. You will notice that adjusting one nut of the u-bolt
will change the torque rating of the other. You must alternate legs back and forth multiple times to produce the
proper torque requirements.
HAND TIGHTEN ONLY! DO NOT USE IMPACT WRENCH!
6.1 - Finger tighten both nuts, ensuring equal threads are exposed on both legs.
6.2 - Tighten each nut to approximately 1/3 of the recommended torque.
6.3 - Repeat, alternating from one nut to the next, gradually torque
each nut until the recommended final torque is attained.
