SYSTEM OVERVIEW
Jaypro Sports Steel Manual Height Adjuster (SMHA) includes slide steel frames driven by a 3/4" Acme
thread rod. Some assembly is required for installation. The saddle brackets must be bolted to the frame
member before the unit is attached backstop masts. The upper board mount must also be bolted to
the height adjuster frame.
NOTE: All hardware supplied with the height adjuster is metric.
The Acme thread rod is driven manually by the eyeloop located at the bottom of the drive rod. Other
methods of operation include a drill drive adapter that can help the operator raise and lower the unit
quicker. Only use the drill specified and supplied by Jaypro. Using a drill that has a higher torque rating
than the one supplied by Jaypro will result in damage to the unit; possibly shearing off the eyeloop on
the bottom of the drive rod. If equipped with the drill adapter kit, Jaypro still recommends periodically
using the hand crank to ensure the unit has smooth operation. If the height adjuster is hard to manually
operate or binds at any moment, inspect the unit and lubricate as necessary.
Only trained personnel should attempt to install this equipment. Installation requires heavy lifting and
hoist of equipment. Ensure all hardware is properly tightened and secure.
