Note:  Remember the following when removing and attaching 

the check valve assembly: 

 

(1)  Tighten sufficiently the bolts securing pump head 

before loosening the check valve assembly. If the 
bolts are loose the plungers may be damaged by 
loosening the check valve assembly. 

 

(2)  Loosen the bolts securing the pump head to their 

original tightness after the check valve assembly 
has been replaced. 

 

(3)  When turning the wrench, be sure to hold the 

pump so that it doesn

’

t move. 

 

(4)  The check valve assembly has an IN section and 

an OUT section. 

 
Clean the remaining gasket material or other contaminants 
remaining on the inside surface of the check valve assembly 
by rinsing the contaminated areas using a syringe filled with 
methanol. After cleaning, wipe the inside surface using a piece 
of clean gauze.
