Cleaning the Feed Dogs and Looper Area

Remove the presser foot and needles
(refer to pages
7 and 10).

Open the looper cover.
Remove the setscrew .
Raise the presser foot lifter to the extra lifted position
and remove the needle plate (refer to page 7).

Clean the feed dogs with the lint brush.

WARNING:
Turn off the power switch and unplug the machine
before cleaning.
Do not dismantle the machine in any way other than
what is explained in this section.
NOTE:
Machines with high use frequency tend to have lint
or dust around areas beyond the reach and cause
malfunctions.
Periodic maintenance is recommended for those
machines. Contact the store you purchased the
machine.

Pull the looper release knob.
Clean the looper and surrounding area with the lint
brush.

Push the looper back to the original position.
Raise the presser foot lifter to the extra lifted position
and replace the needle plate, needles and presser
foot.
Close the looper cover.
