Communication
Issue Possible cause Solution
Flow sensor LED is off
•The LED stays on due to
no flow sensor
•Optional flow switch
Green Communication
LED blinking
•System has not been
updated to Rev X or later
•Chip upgrade
Readings are suspected
to be incorrect at start up
•App is relying on
connected or
disconnected status
•Run pump
No communication with
the automation system:
the “automation
communication” LED on
top of the unit is OFF (not
blinking)
•The RS485 cable is
disconnected from the
automation system
•The RS485 cable is
disconnected from the
TruSense electronic
circuit board
•The TruSense electronic
circuit board is not
working properly
•Check the connection to
the automation system
•Check the connection to
the TruSense electronic
circuit board
•Replace the TruSense
electronic circuit board
pH
No pH measurement
(- - -)
•The pH sensor is
disconnected from the
TruSense electronic
circuit board
•The ORP sensor is
connected instead of the
pH sensor
•The measured pH is
higher than 12
•The sensor is broken
•Check that the blue BNC
connector (pH) is
connected to the left BNC
on the electronic circuit
board
•Check that the
sensors are not mixed,
and the color code is
matching
•Check the pH of the
water using a Taylor kit
and adjust if needed
•Replace the pH sensor
