Do not connect the barbecue thermometer to an
external timer or separate telecontrol system.
•
Do not kink the thermometer cable and do not lay
it over sharp edges.
•
Always switch off the barbecue thermometer if
you don’t use the barbecue thermometer, if you
clean it or if a fault occurs.
•
Never use force when operating or cleaning the
device.
•
Symbols appearing on your product may not be
removed or covered. Information on the product
that are no longer legible must be replaced imme

diately.
Proper use of radio transmitters
•
Do not use this product in hospitals or in medical
facilities. Even though the transmitter only sends
a week radio signal it can still disrupt the function
of a life support system.
•
A minimum distance of 50 cm must be maintained
between people with pace makers.
•
The device transmits on the ISM band. Since
there are several products (e. g. WLAN and Blue
-
tooth devices, model making remote controls or
microwave ovens) that transmit in this frequency
range, interference may occur. If interference
occurs (e. g. lines on the screen) then switch off
the interfering device or switch the baby phone to
a different channel.

Operating instructions
Using for the first time
Basic cleaning
– Remove the packaging material and all protective
foils.
– Clean all parts of the barbecue thermometer
before first use.
Operation
Caution
•
Stainless steel meat probe and probe wire will
become extremely hot during use. Remove probe
from meat using an oven mitt and allow to cool.
•
Do not use the barbecue thermometer and its
components inside a microwave or oven.
•
Make sure that the tip of the temperature sensor
is not in contact with bones, cartilage or fat.
•
Remove probe prior to slicing into meat.
•
Wireless Grill Thermometer is not weather resist
-
ant. Store indoors.
•
The meat probe is designed to measure internal
meat temperature and has an operational range
between −58 °F and 428 °F (−50 °C and 220 °C),
Exposing the probe tip to temperatures above
428 °F could cause damage to the temperature
sensor.
Connecting the probe
– Locate the probe socket on the right side of the
transmitter base. Insert the probe connector-plug
into the socket.
Probe insertion
– Insert probe tip into the centre of the thickest part
of the meat, taking care not to pierce through it.
Do not expose any part of the probe to open
flames.
Powering on
– Locate the power switch on the bottom of the
trans mitter base. Move switch to the
[ON]
posi

tion. An LED indicator light will flash blue to indi
-
cate a signal is being transmitted.
– Locate the power switch on the side of the wire
-
less thermometer. Move switch to the
[ON]
posi
-
tion.
•
Connection will establish automatically. Turn off
the power of transmitter base and wireless ther
-
mometer when not in use.
Select language
– Long press 5 seconds on the
[MODE]
button to
switch between English and Dutch screens.
Read and observe the operating instructions
before using the product for the first time.
