DIFFERENT CLEANING METHODS
8
Note:
To avoid causing permanent damage: Never operate the unit without water in the
cleaning tank. Never use boiling water.
Note:
Care should always be taken to ensure when putting mul-
tiple items in the cleaner that they are not rubbing against each
other, as this can cause scratches or damage to the items.
General Cleaning
Use warm tap water (ideally 45 to 50°C) with a few drops of
washing up liquid. Place the item to be cleaned on the tray and
place it in the unit. Pour in the water and ensure the water level
is between the “MIN” and “MAX” marking. Plug the unit in. The
default setting of 180s is normally sufficient for general cleaning.
Enhanced Cleaning
If the item is very dirty or has oil or grease smears then you
can achieve amazing results by using our SeaClean2 Double
Concentrate (see page 5 for details). You can also use the
inbuilt heater to raise the warm solution to achieve optimum
temperature throughout the cleaning cycle.
Place the item to be cleaned on the tray and place it in the unit.
Pour in the water and ensure the water level is between the
“MIN” and “MAX” marking. Plug the unit in.
Press the “TC” button and the heater will warm the water to
a maximum of 65° C. Using the time setting of 280s - 480s is
recommended for enhanced cleaning. A final cleaning cycle, using
plain water, is recommended after using soaps or detergents
in order to clean any remaining residue from the items being
cleaned.
Cleaning Large Items-
If the item is too large to fit completely in the tank, then you can use the ultrasonic
cleaner with the item partly immersed with the lid off. Ensure the “MAX” marking is not exceeded once the item is
immersed. It is perfectly safe to use the cleaner with the lid off, although we recommend you leave the lid on where
possible as it will help to keep the fluid warmer for longer.
Warm fluid = Better cleaning, every time.
Important notes
• Care should be taken when using different types of cleaning soaps or detergents. Always ensure they are suitable
for the item you are cleaning. If in doubt, please ask James Products or check
www.jamesproducts.co.uk
.
• If there is any danger of scratching to an item to be cleaned, then place the item on the plastic tray before
immersing it in the tank. Unavoidably, the tray absorbs some of the ultrasonic energy, which may slightly reduce
the effectiveness of the cleaning action. If the item is not at risk of damage from vibrations against the stainless
steel tank, then the tray can be omitted for more efficient cleaning.
• The use of SOLVENTS or ALCOHOL in the tank or on any part of the cleaner will damage your ultrasonic
cleaner and void any warranty.
