. After the initial setup, the hands move to 12 o‘clock and the clock will try to
receive the radio signal for 3-12 minutes. When the time code is received, the
radio-controlled time will be shown. The clock receives the signal twice a day
(1:00 and 3:00 am). During the reception the second hand stops at 12 o‘clock.
You can start the initialization manually. Press and hold the WAVE button for 3
seconds. The second hand stops and the clock will scan the DCF frequency
signal.
Setting the clock manually:
If the clock cannot detect the DCF signal (for example due to disturbances, trans-
mitting distance, etc.), you can set the time manually. The clock will then work
as a normal quartz clock. Press and hold the SET button for three seconds. The
second hand stops at 12 o‘clock. Press and hold the SET button until the desired
time is indicated. Press the SET button briefly to move the hands minute by
minute. After 30 seconds or when you press the WAVE button the second hand
moves forward again. The manually set time will be overwritten by the DCF time
when the signal is received successfully.
Setting the alarm:
• Turn the dial for the alarm time and set the alarm time
(in the direction of the arrow).
• To activate the alarm function, move the ON/OFF switch upwards (ON).
• The second hand has an auto-stop function.
• It will stop at 12, 1 to 2 minutes after switching on the alarm,
while the minute and hour hand keep going.
• This keeps the alarm clock absolutely silent during sleeping hours.
• When the alarm time set is reached, the alarm will sound.
• If the alarm is not switched off manually, the increasing alarm will automatically
turn off after certain minutes and will be reactivated at the same time.
• When the alarm sounds, press the LIGHT/SNOOZE
button and the snooze function will be activated.
• The alarm will be interrupted for 5 minutes.
• The snooze function can be activated up to seven times.
• To deactivate the alarm function, move the ON/OFF switch downwards (OFF).
• The second hand will continue to move again after 1 to 2 minutes.
Backlight:
Press the LIGHT/SNOOZE button. The backlight will be activated for 5 seconds.
Care and maintenance:
Clean the alarm clock with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use solvents or scouring
agents. Remove the battery if you are not going to be using the alarm clock for a
long period of time. Keep the alarm clock in a dry place.
Battery replacement:
Change the battery when the functions of the alarm clock become weak. Open
the battery compartment and insert a new 1.5 V AA battery. Ensure that the
battery polarity is correct. Close the battery compartment again.
