Use

Starting the watch

Crown A
Turn the compression key to the “open” position in the
direction of the arrow. Crown “A” is then in position 1.
A few clockwise turns of the crown are enough to set the
watch running. It is then automatically wound when you wear
it. Please note that the crown does not lock on winding, even
when the watch is fully wound.
When the operation is completed, turn the compression key
to the “closed” position in the direction of the arrows.

Time setting

Crown A
Turn the compression key to the “open” position in the
direction of the arrow.
Then pull the crown out to position 3.
The movement is thus locked (“stop seconds” function). To
enable precise time setting in seconds, pull out the crown
to stop the elapsed seconds disc when the latter appears
completely white or completely red.
Move the hands forward clockwise up to the desired time
and, on the hour signal, push the crown back to position 1. The
watch starts running again.
When the operation is completed, turn the compression key
to the “closed” position in the direction of the arrows.

Setting the date (fast action)

Crown A
Turn the compression key to the “open” position in the
direction of the arrow.
Then pull crown A out to position 2.
Move the date forward by turning the crown counter-
clockwise. Perform the required number of turns until the
desired date is displayed.

Note : date correction should not be performed between
10.30 pm and 3.30 am. During that period the automatic date-
change of date mechanism is already in action.

When the operation is completed, push the crown back
to position 1 and turn the compression key to the “closed”
position in the direction of the arrows.

Chronograph operation

The central seconds hand on your Master Compressor
Extreme World Chronograph displays the chronograph
seconds to the nearest eighth of a second. A counter located
at 3 o’clock totals the minutes up to 30 minutes (after one
turn it continues to count another 30 minutes). Another
counter located at 9 o’clock totals the hours up to 12 hours
(after one turn it continues to count another 12 hours).
-  Pushpiece at 2 o’clock : this pushpiece enables the

chronograph function to be started and stopped.

-  Pushpiece at 4 o’clock : this pushpiece resets the counters

and the central seconds hand. When timing is in progress, a
press on this pushpiece has no effect.

Each of these two pushpieces is fitted with a wing-nut with
patented compression system. This permits strong compression
of one of the three pushpiece seals, ensuring optimum water
resistance.
Another benefit of this system is that it enables operation
of the pushpieces to be locked in the closed position, thus
preventing any unintentional handling of the chronograph.
To enable the chronograph functions, move the pushpieces
into the “open” position by turning the wing-nuts a quarter of
a turn downwards for the pushpiece at 2 o’clock (start, stop),
and upwards for the pushpiece at 4 o’clock (reset).
The non-compressed gasket position (“open”) is then
indicated by a red arrow (front view of watch).

Timing

-  Pressing once on the pushpiece at 2 o’clock activates

the chronograph. The central seconds hand turns and
the minute and hour totaliser counters are in operation.
A second press on the pushpiece at 2 o’clock stops the
chronograph and enables reading of the time measured.

-  Reset by pressing the pushpiece at 4 o’clock to be ready to

perform another timing operation.

-  It is possible to add up several timing operations by pressing

again on the pushpiece at 2 o’clock (without having to
reset the counters).
Timing starts again and is added to the previous
measurement.

Once the timing operation has been completed, move the
pushpieces into the compressed gasket (“closed”) position
by turning the wing-nuts in the direction shown by the arrow,
i.e. a quarter of a turn upwards for the pushpiece at 2 o’clock
(start, stop), and a quarter of a turn downwards for the
pushpiece at 4 o’clock (reset).
