Andros Performance:
the filtering assembly (spa-pak) can be located
anywhere, but not more than 4 m from the mini-pool. If installation is outdoors
(in very cold areas), it is recommended to provide valves that allow for com-
plete drainage of the pipes that connect the MaxiJacuzzi
®
to the spa-pak.
If necessary, the spa-pak can be installed on a lowered surface (with
respect to the MaxiJacuzzi
®
) with a maximum height difference of 1m.
Greater height differences may reduce the flow rate of the filtering pump.
The spa-pak must be installed so that it is cannot be accessed by
individuals without using keys, and protected from water and in-
clement weather.
You can use a garden hose to fill the MaxiJacuzzi
®
.
For periodic filling, if you decide to connect the
MaxiJacuzzi
®
hydraulic circuit to the public water system
that supplies drinking water, this connection must be
carried out in compliance with the EN1717 norm, using
“AA”, “AB” or “AD” anti-pollution protection procedures.
For further information, we recommend you contact your
water supply company and/or your plumber.
If the installation is an indoor one, you should allow for the fact that
the evaporation of water in the Maxi-Jacuzzi
®
may lead to very high
levels of humidity, particularly when the ambient temperature is high.
Natural or forced ventilation will help preserve the users’ comfort and
reduce damages caused to the building by humidity.
Jacuzzi Europe denies all responsibility for any damage caused by
excessive humidity or by overflowing water. Consult a specialist for
indoor installation.
Concerning the suitability of the electrical system and of the con-
nections, refer to the second part of the manual for installation, use
and maintenance (see the chapter on ELECTRICAL SAFETY).
It is advisable to provide electricity with a single mono-phase line,
as shown in
4
.
The installer must in any case use properly protected cables with a suit-
able cross-section, with characteristics not inferior to type H 05 VV-F.
Andros Performance:
provide a cable for connection of the pump
of the spa-pak to the box of the mini-pool.
Note: the sections of the wires, in any case, must allow not on-
ly for the absorption of the system, but also for the routes of the
cables, the distances, the protections selected and the specific
standards for fixed electrical systems in force in the country where
the MaxiJacuzzi
®
is installed. The terminal board of the electri-
cal box can house cables having a maximum section of 6 mm
2
.
To ensure the degree of protection against splashes of water as
required by standards, and to make connection to the electrical mains
easier, the electrical box is equipped with a cable clamp M25 x 1.5mm.
The installer must comply with these prescriptions,
use watertight
fittings in the junction points, and ensure compliance with the
specific standards for fixtures in force in the country where
the MaxiJacuzzi
®
is installed.
It is mandatory to comply with this instruction. Any other
procedure is prohibited.
Electrical safety
Andros/Andros Performance is a safe appliance, manufactured ac-
cording to
EN 60335.2.60, EN 61000 and EN 55014
regulations
and tested during production to guarantee user safety.
Installation must be carried out by qualified and authorized personnel,
in compliance with the national provisions in force.
It is the installer’s responsibility to select the ma-
terials, considering the way they will be used; to car-
ry out the installation correctly; and to verify the con-
dition of the network to which the system will be con-
nected and its capability to ensure safety in main-
tenance and inspection operations.
The MaxiJacuzzi
®
minipools are class “
I
” apparatuses, so they
must be connected permanently,
without intermediate junc-
tions
, to the electrical network and protection circuit (ground system).
The electrical system of the building must be e-
quipped with a differential switch, 0.03 A, and an ef-
ficient protection circuit (ground system).
Make sure that the differential switch is in working
order by pressing its TEST key, which must trip.
Parts incorporating electrical components, except
remote control devices, must be located or fixed
so that they cannot fall into the spa.
Live components and equipment must be out of
reach of individuals in the spa.
For the connection to the electrical network, it is necessary to in-
stall a disconnecting multiple-pole switches (
4
), placing it in an
area that complies with the safety prescriptions, and in any case out
of the reach of the people who are using the Maxi-Jacuzzi
®
.
It is mandatory to comply with this instruction. Any other pro-
cedure is prohibited.
The installation of electrical devices, such as outlets, switches, etc.,
near the MaxiJacuzzi
®
must comply with the regulations of the law in
force in the Country where the minipool is installed.
The multiple-pole switches mentioned above must ensure an
opening of the contacts of at least 3 mm, and must be suitable for the
voltage and current specified in Chapter
“Technical specifications”
.
For the equipotential connection prescribed by the specific national
standards, the installer must use the terminal provided (as per standards
EN 60335.2.60
) on the electrical box (
4
), identified by symbol
.
In particular, it is necessary to ensure that all the metal masses that
surround the minipool (water pipes, gas pipes, perimetric metal
boards, etc.) are equipotential.
