11.10 Magnetic Compass (all J-Series)
The Magnetic Compass is liquid-filled, with expansion provisions to compensate for temperature
changes. It is equipped with compensating magnets adjustable from the front of the case. No
maintenance is required on the compass except an occasional check on a compass rose for
adjustment and compensation.
11.11 Gyro Instrument Package (Option) (all J-Series)
A vacuum pump driven Artificial Horizon and Directional Gyro, together with an electric Turn
Coordinator, is available as an option.
Where this option is provided, a different instrument panel fascia is fitted.
Repair should only be performed by an approved instrument workshop.
