OPERATION
Always communicate your
intentions to other drivers while
operating the LaneBlade®.
4.
Slow vehicle to 20mph while being aware of
traffic behind you. The LaneBlade® will not
deploy if vehicle is traveling over 20mph.
5.
Extend the LaneBlade® wings into their fully
deployed position.
6.
Lower the LaneBlade® until it makes
contact with the road surface.
The
UNSTOWED light will illuminate. If so
desired, put the LaneBlade® into FLOAT
mode by double-tapping the DOWN button
(or pressing and holding the DOWN button
for 3 seconds)
7.
Maximum vehicle speed with the
LaneBlade® deployed is 20mph.
Traveling above 20mph with the
LaneBlade® deployed risks
personal injury.
Avoid any obstructions and uneven
pavement while using the
LaneBlade® (such as buckled pavement, expansion
joints, raised manhole covers, etc.). Avoid hitting
anything other than debris with the LaneBlade®.
8.
While communicating your intentions to
other drivers, and frequently checking your
mirrors, safely move your vehicle in a path
that will enable you to make clean contact
between the debris and the LaneBlade®.
9.
While communicating your intentions to
other drivers, and frequently checking your
mirrors, keep vehicle speed at 20mph or less
before making contact with debris.
Before making contact with debris,
ensure vehicle is traveling at or
under 20mph.
Never attempt to move debris
weighing more than 150 lbs.
Attempting to move debris weighing over 150lbs
risks personal injury, damage to the LaneBlade®,
the vehicle, and losing control of the vehicle.
10.
While traveling at or less than 20mph with
the LaneBlade® lowered and the wings fully
deployed, make contact with the debris.
11.
After making contact with debris, while
communicating your intentions to other
drivers and frequently checking your
mirrors, maintain an even speed at or less
than 20mph and appropriate for the size,
weight, and shape of the debris you are
pushing.
The wings must be fully deployed
while pushing debris.
12.
If you think you are losing control of the
debris, while communicating with drivers
around you of your intentions, slow down to
an appropriate speed that allows you to keep
control of both the vehicle and the debris you
are pushing.
13.
Continue driving in a safe manner keeping
control of the debris while maneuvering to
shoulder of the road. Occasionally check the
view from the camera to ensure that the
debris is being pushed by the LaneBlade®.
14.
Once you have reached the shoulder of the
road, when safe to do so, stop your vehicle.
15.
Once you have completely stopped your
vehicle, with the LaneBlade® wings deployed,
raise the LaneBlade® to its stowed position.
The UNSTOWED light will extinguish.
