Trimming the Model in flight
If you find that your model does not fly
straight, it may be necessary to adjust the trim
for straight and level flight. Trimming is best
done when flying at 1/2 to 2/3 power.
Rudder Trim
If the model appears to turn slightly to the
right or left, it may be required to adjust the
rudder trim. If the model is turning to the left,
press the right rudder trim until the model
flies level. If it is turning to the right, press
the left rudder trim. You should only use one
or two presses at a time so the model is not
over-trimmed and begins turning the opposite
direction.
NOTE : If you reach the end point of the trim
you will hear a continuous beep.
General Flying Precautions
Always make it a point to practice good flying
techniques. Choose an area large enough that you
can safely manoeuvre your model. Only fly your model
outdoors when there is no wind. Avoid flying into the sun.
Flying Area
The relatively small size and light weight of the Nano Stik makes it ideal for flying indoors in suitable
spaces, such as a great room at home or a conference room at the office, approximately 15-feet by 15-
feet with 8+ foot ceilings. However, we strongly recommend whether you’re a first-time or experienced
pilot that you make your first flights in a larger indoor space, such as a basketball gym or warehouse,
until you are familiar with the handling and capabilities of the model and it’s properly trimmed. Also, if you
are a first time pilot we highly recommend allowing a more experienced pilot to test fly and properly trim
the model before attempting your first flight. A proven flyable and properly trimmed model is significantly
easier and more enjoyable to fly!
When you’re ready to make your first flights you’ll want to select a suitable open area free of people and
obstructions. And after you’ve properly trimmed the model and become familiar with its handling and
capabilities you’ll be able to fly in smaller and less open areas.
The Nano Stik can be flown outdoors when there is no wind.
