11.4 Diagnostic menu
The analyser PRO-NITRO «A» includes an utility for checking and adjusting some
important parameters for properly working. It is mainly used for:
• Checking light level.
• Checking functions 8.1 without alarms.
• Checking colorimeter output signal level during titration and detecting problems.
Accessing to diagnostic utility:
1.
The PRO-NITRO «A» must be OFF (Mains switch OFF).
2.
Press «ENTER» key. Keep pressed and press mains switch ON.
3.
After a few seconds «STIRRING» menu appear on the display. See attached
diagram.
Diagnostics utility operation:
For function selection, use the keys:
1.
The keys
«» and
«» to point any function.
2.
Press «ENTER» to start or stop the pointed function.
3.
Press «ESC» to output from the diagnostics utility.
Diagnostic functions
Some of the functions on this menu do the same as others from the «TEST» menu,
except that here the alarms are disabled.
1. Check the light level
The display shows the light level: C0 = Level from 200 ±75.
2. Diagnosis of basic functions
STIRRING:
Stop / run of collector stirrer.
EMPTY COOLING:
Open/Closes the coolant (Tap) water.
TITRATION:
See. 3 (below)
ADD 1ml:
Orders to digital dispenser a 1ml volume.
PRIME:
Stop / run digital dispenser.
EMPTY COLLECTOR:
Stop / run collector empty system (pump + valve).
EMPTY SAMPLE:
Stop / run sample tube empty system (pump).
STEAM COOLANT:
Stop / run distillation (without titration)
BORIC:
Dispenses 50ml of fixative solution (Boric).
NaOH:
Dispenses 50ml of NaOH.
3. Colorimetric titration diagnostics
Using keys «
» y «
» point «TITRATION».
To run this diagnostic, a sample of ammonia sulphate must be prepared (See 8.2).
During the analysis the following figures appears on the display:
«Ls»
Upper limit.
«Li»
Lower limit.
«Rd»
Colorimeter reading.
«D»
Dispensed volume of HCl.
Diagnostic: (normal values): Ls: [100 ... 250] , Li: [75 ... 150]

CAUTION
When the diagnosis functions are running
the alarm systems are
