Important Safety Instructions
Please read these instructions carefully before using the appliance and
save them for future reference. Please keep the sales receipt for
guarantee purposes (pls see below “Guarantee and Customer Service”)
• Before connecting the kettle, check if the voltage indicated on the appliance
(underside of kettle or base unit) corresponds with the mains voltage in your
home. If this is not the case, contact an authorized BENRUBI service centre
and do not use the kettle.
• The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the intended
purpose as indicated in the instructions manual.
• Do not use the appliance outdoors.
• Keep the appliance away from any source of heat, direct sunlight, humidity
and sharp edges.
• Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet,
unplug it immediately and do not use it.
• Do not touch hot surface. Use handles or knobs.
• Ensure that the kettle is always operated on a flat and stable surface.
• Use only cold water when filling the kettle.
• If operated on wooden furniture, use a protective pad to prevent damage to
delicate finishes.
• Do not operate or place any part of this appliance on or near any hot
surfaces (such as gas or electric burner or in a heated oven).
• Do not leave the cord hanging over the edge of a table or counter. Do not
allow the cord touching hot surfaces.
• This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, children or those with lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
• Keep children well away and ensure that users are fully aware of the danger
of escaping hot steam and splashing boiling water!
• Never yank on the cord as this may damage the cord and eventually cause
a risk of electric shock.
