TROUBLESHOOTING
CAUTION! Switch off and remove plug from mains before investigating fault.
Conventional trouble Trouble reason Remedy
The fan heater fails to switch on,
the switch light fails to illuminate
∙ Lack of power supply
∙ Lack of power supply
∙ Power switch is malfunctioning
∙ Check that there is power
supply
∙ If there is power supply, check
the power cable: replace if it is
damaged
∙ Check the power switch and
replace it if damaged
The fan heater functions but the
light fails to illuminate
∙ Lack of power supply to the
motor wiring
∙ Motor is malfunction
∙ Check the motor wiring
∙ Replace the motor
The fan ventilates air but fails to
heat it, the switch light does not
indicate that the fan heater is on
∙ Lack of power supply to the
heater
∙ Heater is malfunctioning
∙ Check the wiring to the heater
∙ Replace heater
The fan heater fails to heat air yet
the switch light indicates that the
fan heater is on
∙ Overheating of the fan heater
∙ On/off switch is malfunctioning
∙ Switch off the machine an let it
cool down for 2 hours
∙ Ensure that the on/off switch is
functioning
If the problem cannot be remedied on the basis of the information above, please take the device to an authorized
IVT Service Center.
