CAMERA INSTALLATION
NBLC-4204Z-SD network speed dome is usually
ceiling-mounted, and can be installed on the ceil-
ing or wall.
Note:
There are two cable routes possible for ceil-
ing mount installation. Do not drill a hole in the
ceiling, and route cable from the side of the speed
dome. Drill a hole in the ceiling, and conceal cable
in the ceiling.
Install the default pedestal seal ring on the
pedestal as shown in top figure on previous
page.
Confirm installation position and cable route
first, drill holes on the ceiling according to the
installation position template, and then put
the three plastic expansion bolts into the
holes you just drilled.
Unscrew three locking screws on the enclo-
sure by using inner hex wrench, and remove
the enclosure.
Lay the outgoing cable according to the cable
route, and use three self-tapping screws to fix
the pedestal onto the installation surface,
then insert the screws into the expansion
bolts.
Use three locking screws to fix the dome en-
closure on the pedestal.
Now the camera installation is complete, and you
can adjust the lens angle, zoom, focus, etc. on the
WEB interface.
Important safeguards and warnings
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
All installation and operation here should meet your
local electrical safety codes. Please check if the
power supply is correct before operating the device.
The power should conform to the SELV require-
ment (Safety Extra Low Voltage), and the power
supply should be rated 12V DC, 5V DC, or 24V AC
following the IEC60950-1 standard. (For the
power supply requirement, see the device label).
Before installing wiring, please install an easy-to-
use device for emergency power shutoff.
Please make sure the cord (especially the plug
and power socket) is not stepped on or impinged.
Note:
If you are already supplying power to the
device through the PoE input, you should not addi-
tionally provide power through the dedicated
power input. It could result in damage to the device!
We assume no liability or responsibility for any
fires or electrical shock caused by improper han-
dling or installation.
We are not liable for any problems caused by un-
authorized modification or repair attempts.
ENVIRONMENT
Please don’t aim the device at a strong light
source (such as lighting or sunlight) when focus-
ing; this could cause overexposure. This is not a
device malfunction, but it will affect the longevity
of the CCD or CMOS.
Please transport, use, and store the device within
the allowed range of humidity and temperature.
Please don’t keep the device in a place that is wet,
dusty, extremely hot, or extremely cold; don’t
expose it to strong electromagnetic fields or un-
stable lighting.
In order to protect the camera’s internal compo-
nents, please do not allow water or other liquids
to enter its housing.
Please do not allow rain or dampness to reach the
device, as sparking or fire could result.
Please maintain good ventilation, to allow any
excess heat to dissipate.
When transporting the device, please pack it in its
original packaging or with packing of equal quality.
During transportation, storage, and installation,
protect it from heavy stress or vibrations, and
from water.
OPERATION AND REGULAR MAINTENANCE
Please do not touch the device’s heat-dissipation
component directly, in order to avoid getting burned.
Please do not dismantle the device. None of its
components can be repaired by users. If the device
is opened by someone other than a trained pro-
fessional, this may cause water leakage or bad
image quality.
You should use the device with a lightning-pro-
tection system.
You should ensure that the power plug’s ground
prong is connected to a properly grounded outlet,
to ensure the camera’s reliability.
Do not touch the CCD (CMOS) optical component
directly. You can use a blower to clean dust or dirt
from the lens surface. If cleaning is necessary,
please use a dry cloth wetted with alcohol to
gently wipe away any dust.
Always use a soft, dry cloth to clean the device. If
there is too much dust, please clean the device
with mild detergent diluted with water. Afterwards,
wipe the device off with a dry cloth. Don’t use vol-
atile solvents such as alcohol, benzene, or thinner,
or strong abrasive detergent, or it will damage the
surface coating or impair the device’s performance.
The dome cover is an optical device. Please don’t
touch or wipe the cover surface directly during
installation and use. If it gets dirty, please use the
following methods:
Dirt stains: use a soft, oil-free brush or a hair
dryer to remove it gently.
Grease stains or fingerprints: use a soft cloth to
gently wipe away water drops or oil until it’s
dry, then use an oil-free cotton cloth, or paper
soaked with alcohol or detergent, to wipe the
lens from the center outward. If it’s still not
clean enough, you can change the cloth and
wipe several times.
WARNING
Please use the standard accessories provided by
the manufacturer, and make sure the device is in-
stalled and fixed by professionals.
Please do not allow the device’s surface to be
touched by any laser beam.
If you are already supplying power to the device
through the PoE input, you should not additional-
ly provide power through the dedicated power
input. It could result in damage to the device!
