Gas leaks as soon as
cartridge is installed.
Make sure pressure dial is in the OFF
position.
The tap is open, but no
beer comes out.
• Make sure a CO2 cartridge is installed and the
pressure is turned on.
• The tap may be clogged. If so, detach tap and
clean the inside of it.
• Remove the cap from the growler and check
to make sure cartridge is not empty.
Growler runs out of
pressure in a day or two.
• Make sure cap is turned on and left on.
• Ensure the cap has been tightened firmly.
• Verify that O-ring under the cap is not
damaged. If O-ring is worn down, then it will
need to be replaced.
Growler holds pressure,
but runs out of CO2
before beer is gone.
If beer started out under carbonated, then
CO2 may have been absorbed into the beer
quickly.
Pressure gauge only
reads 0 psi or doesn’t
change.
• Dial may be stuck. If so, tap on the surface of
the gauge while pressure is on.
• Pressure gauge may be damaged.
Beer pours foamy every
time.
• Be sure to open tap handle fully and let go of
it during the pour.
• Beer filled into growler may be highly
carbonated. If so, you will have to wait a few
days for the pressure of the growler to adjust
to the beer that was poured into it.
• Keep tap open while filling the growler and
keep it out of the sun.
Tap continues to drip
even when closed.
• Leave glass under tap until tap is finished
dripping.
• If tap continues to drip, the tap may have
something in it. And will need to be cleaned
out.
• Check to make sure O-ring is not damaged.
If O-ring is worn down, then it will need to be
replaced.
