SERVICING
CHECKING THE MECHANICAL COMPONENTS
Visually inspect all the components of the Jumper Cable at regular intervals (at
least once a year) and assess their effectiveness.
This visual inspection must include components such as

CHECKING THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS
Visually inspect all the electrical components of the Jumper Cable at regular in-
tervals (at least once a year) and assess their effectiveness. In this context, check
in particular the contacts (especially the canted coil springs).
Contact surfaces for power transmission must be free from contamination.
CLEANING THE COMPONENTS
INFORMATION!
The manufacturer recommends external cleaning of all com-
ponents at regular intervals (depending on the locally preva-
lent environmental conditions and level of contamination).
Regular cleaning actively promotes maintenance safety and
helps to assess effectiveness.
When using cleaning agents, observe the applicable local pro-
visions and regulations.
The usage of so-
called “aggressive” cleaning agents (
highly al-
kaline or acidic) must be checked before use.
